Nike & TaylorMade will be going head to head with their interchangeable and adjustable shaft drivers. Nike’s entry into the game is the Nike Dymo STR8-FIT Driver. It is also available in the square headed Nike Dymo2 STR8-FIT Driver. STR*-FIT technology allows a player to adjust the head of the driver in 8 different positions, allowing them to subtly or dramatically change their ball flight. The STR8-FIT driver will give the amateur player the same Tour Van customization and flexibility with their equipment that Tour players enjoy. If a player is pushing or fading the ball too much they can adjust the head to a more closed position. If the
players is drawing or hooking the ball they can fix their ball flight by opening the head position. Nike has tested and found a 45 yard difference between the maximum open and closed head positions. Golfers now have the ability to significantly alter their ball flight by simply changinf the head postion of their club which is easily accomplished by using the special wrench provided with the Nike Dymo STR8-FIT Driver
Trevor Immelman used a prototype driver with STR*-FIT technology to win the 2008 Masters.
