I always like to see outstanding golf products from the past come back into style. The release of the new TaylorMade Raylor Hyrbid just shows how ahead of its time the original TaylorMade Raylor fairway wood was. Originally the Raylor was a great fairway wood for extracting the ball out of the rough, now with a few tweaks the same concept becomes a hybrid. TaylorMade calls the new Raylor the “Ultimate Weapon for Escaping the Rough”. With its Raylor sole design shaped like a ship’s hull, it glides through tall grass instead of stalling and is easier to hit from sidehill lies. The TaylorMade Raylor features a V-shaped leading edge which slices downward through rough to promote clean face-to-ball contact. A super-low CG with 41% deeper face helps get the ball up and out of rough on a high, long-carrying, soft-landing flight. The Raylor has a RE*AX 65-gram graphite shaft 1″ longer than standard TaylorMade hybrids of equal loft, which promotes greater leverage from rough, clubhead speed and distance. The TaylorMade Raylor Hybrid is available in 19* & 22* lofts. Click
