Every year at the PGA Merchandise show there are always a couple of stand out products that are a sure hit for the upcoming golf season. Last year one of those items was the uPro Golf GPS, which recently was purchased by Callaway Golf.
This year once again, there was a new and exciting golf gps system, the OnPar Golf GPS with touchscreen dazzled us with their intuitive touchscreen display. Very similar to the display on an iPhone, the Onpar GPS is easy to use and navigate with a simple finger touch to the display. The first thing you’ll notice on the OnPar Golf GPS is the bright color screen and great zoom in and zoom out functions, but perhaps the coolest features lie in the statistics and personalized game management. You have the ability to track the distance you have been hitting a particular club, and even how far you have been hitting that club on an individual hole. How great will that be for decision making on a par 3 that always seems to be into the prevailing wind. You’ll be able to track over time, how big a factor that wind is, and club up or down accordingly.
We also must mention that there are no subscription fees, course download fees, or mapping fees, of any kind with the OnPar Golf GPS. You’ll be able to hold up to 300 courses on the OnPar GPS. The OnPar is expecting to be available in late March, so get your pre-book order in now, they are sure to go fast.
