There was a lot of coverage this week before the Masters regarding Phil Mickelson’s fairway wood.  And now you can play the same fairway wood as Phil.  Callaway has just released the Callaway X Hot 3 Deep Fairway Wood.  The 3 Deep Fairway Wood was developed with input directly from Phil Mickelson.  Phil was looking for a fairway wood as long and accurate as possible, and his tendency was to catch the standard X Hot Pro a little high on the face which created a little too much spin for maximum distance.  As the name suggests the deeper face of the 3 Deep solves Phil’s spin problem.   The 3 Deep is available in 2 lofts, 13* & 14.5*, both have shaft lengths of 43.5″.  The Project X Velocity shaft is the stock option.  Click Here to learn more about the Callaway X Hot 3 Deep Fairway Wood.
