The new TaylorMade R11 Driver has just been released, and already is winning awards. Golf Digest has named it to their Hot List, where it won “editors choice” and their gold metal. Lots of images and rumors have been circulating regarding the TaylorMade R11 Driver and now we finally have photos, specs, and a video. The first thing you’ll notice about the R11 Driver is the white anti-glare crown, contrasting the black face, which is said to make alignment of the club much easier. This is technology carried over from the TaylorMade Ghost Putter. With the R11 Driver, you’ll be able to adjust the loft with Flight Control Technology (FCT), adjust the face angle with Adjustable Sole Technology (ASP), and adjust the Center of Gravity with Movable Weight Technology (MWT). All of this adjustability and customization adds up to 100 yards of side to side trajectory change, and +/- 1,000 RPM of backspin change. With a total of 48 different settings, every player will be able to customize the TaylorMade R11 Driver to their ideal playing characteristics. The R11 Driver also has a new head shape which promotes faster club head speed and more distance. The TaylorMade R11 Driver comes stock with a Fujikura Blur 60 gram shaft. Of course, there will also be a TP version, the TaylorMade R11 TP Driver which will feature all of the same specs as the standard R11, but will come stock with a Fujikura Blur TP 65 gram shaft. There has been a lot of buzz about the new R11 Driver, and for good reason, TaylorMade has once again shaken up the driver category with innovative ideas and technology. PGA Tour pros are excited as well. Click here to watch a video and hear what Justin Rose & Dustin Johnson have to say about the new TaylorMade R11 Driver.
