 OPERATIONAL MODES:

RAIN MODE: Use for rainy days. Allows the Rangefinder to more accurately measure yardage beyond sixty yards, cutting through the rain.
>150 MODE: This mode is typically used when distancing objects through brush or tall grass when the object is further than 150 yards away.
REFL MODE: This mode helps the Rangefinder cut through fog and/or early morning moisture such as may be found in low lying fields or fairways.

This is the second I-On Optics LS101 rangefinder i have purchased. The second one was a gift for my son. We use it strictly for golf and it works just fine and you can't beat the price. Occasionally i have a hard time picking up the flag but not very often. The only draw back is the battery it uses. Its a CR2 which is expensive. I look for them on sale at about 9.00 for a two pack otherwise there about 13.00 apiece. Key note, when the rangefinder says low battery continue to use it till it doesn't work then replace the battery as the rangefinder still works fine and sometimes the low battery warning goes away and doesn't come on for a long time. I play with golfers who have their fancy dancy high priced slope reading rangefinders and we come up with almost identical yardage and at half the price. So if your looking for a very good golf rangefinder at a great price i recommend this product.
