The classically shaped, forged face club heads found in the MT Irons deploy Cup Face 360° Technology to enhance distance and shot accuracy. MT irons are designed for low to mid handicap players who want classic head shapes combined with game improvement technology. This model features a forged, Cup Face plasma welded to a 17-4 sole and hosel and body so the entire club face is the sweet spot. So even off-center or miss hits will send your ball directly on target. The classic blade profile is hardly noticeable as being a bit larger than traditional blades, hiding a slightly greater offset and a wider sole to provide jaw-dropping forgiveness. The undercut cavity provides low weight and is inset towards the face to move the center of gravity (CG) forward to enhance trajectory control. The raised wedge design on the Cup Face optimizes power and feel at impact while the club's weighting allows the lofts to be strengthened for added distance without reducing trajectory.

I played Ping Irons for the past 15 years. Zing2, I3,S59, and I5's. I really like Ping, however I'm not a big fan of Cast clubs, and didn't really like the S59s. I've been looking for a set of irons that were forged yet had some game improvement features. It was a bit by accident that I came across the new MacGregor line of MT clubs, and I'll admit, with a bit of reservation that I decided to give them a try. I had to write this review because I am more than completely thrilled with this set of Irons. They are so solid and forgiving, and the feedback is incredible. They are a full club longer than anything I have ever hit, and they just set up so nicely. The Nippon steel shaft is the most consistent shaft I have ever hit. I would highly recommend these irons, MacGregor is back...in a big way !
