QL Irons
The Tour Edge Bazooka JMAX QL irons are a precision scoring tool that will get you close every time.  The JMAX Quick Launch irons utilize the latest super wide, low center of gravity (c.g.) sole. This stylistic enhancement comes courtesy of the Bazooka JMAX Iron-Wood. Fully interchangeable with the JMAX Iron-Wood, the QL irons share the same appealing top line as well.

The Tour Edge Bazooka JMAX QL irons are an extraordinarily efficient form that absolutely exudes power, confidence, and personality. The oversized iron is manufactured using a new casting method to produce our patented undercut cavity from one piece of 431 stainless steel. This new casting method allows the mold to have a retractable core producing a clean, consistent one-piece cavity that offers remarkable feel. The deep-channeled undercut cavity allows the c.g. to be moved lower and further back from the face to give you the forgiveness and higher flight pattern of which you've always dreamed.

 

ADVANCED WEIGHTING TECHNOLOGY

The QL has the deepest CG we've ever created. Unlike past Tour Edge Iron-Woods, the QL has a 15-gram tungsten sole weight. You'll hit higher, longer and more accurate shots because this fixed weight creates a lower CG and a higher moment of inertia (the club's ability to resist twisting).  In addition to the tungsten sole weight, the QL's thin Hyper-Steel walls allow more weight to be placed in the sole. The result is a 120-gram sole that lowers and deepens the CG position. The super-thin Hyper-Steel face makes the QL one of the hottest clubs you'll ever hit. In fact, you'll gain an extra 10 yards over your current irons. PROGRESSIVE SOLE WIDTH The QL's deep CG also comes from progressive sole width and weighting. The long irons are more wood-like, with a heavier, wider sole. As the set progresses to the scoring irons, the sole becomes narrower, creating a more traditional appearance. The set's progressive sole width moves the CG from a low, deep position in the long irons to a shallow, higher position in the scoring irons. The result is the ideal trajectory for each iron in the set

 

 

BULGE AND ROLL FACE TECHNOLOGY

The new Bazooka QL Iron-Wood features bulge-and-roll face technology on the #1-4 Iron-Woods. Bulge is the horizontal radius of the face and roll is the vertical radius. The deep CG of the long irons requires more bulge and roll, or a smaller radius. This allows them to react properly when the head rotates around its CG on off-center hits. Bulge-and-roll technology drives the ball in the opposite direction from the curvature caused by the ball's spin, bringing your mis-hits back to the target line for maximum forgiveness.
