Trav-A-Lite 9

I read reviews so I knew what to expect in looks and size. I had no problem carrying my clubs along with my suitcase and a carry-on bag from airport shuttles to baggage check-in or baggage claim. I wrapped my irons in bubble wrap and inserted the 3 longest irons head first.

I knew when I purchased this bag it was made of Vinyl but it looks much nicer in the pictures than in person; kind of looks like a long shiny garbage can. Also, while it does fit the 8 or 9 clubs advertised, you cannot leave the head covers on and the clubs can get beat up by the airline baggage handling. Overall, it does the job but, for the price, I think it could be refined to look better and fit clubs plus covers.

I have been traveling weekly to Chicago since January for a client without a lot of money so I don't rent a car. Instead I ride Chicago CTA trains and buses. Got tired of sitting in my room at night and loaded 9 clubs from my back-up club set in the Trav A Lite (including a driver, 5 metal, and hybid, and five irons and a putter). So now people see me trooping through the city with my handy club bag, riding the bus and train to the driving range.

Frankly it's about the same weight as my brief case with laptop and gear.

Turns out I'm actually a good golfer with 9 clubs and it's always interesting to get questions about "what is in there" when I wander the city. Someday I'm going to tell them it's a shoulder fired missle launcher or a bazooka ...

Also got great service from In The Hole Golf -- shipped promptly and got my case in a week or less shipped all the way to Atlanta on their free shipping plan.

All-in-all makes a challenging travel regimen enjoyable cause I got my clubs.

I travel monthly to play golf. Previously I used a very large travel golf bag. I purchased the Trav-a-lite 9 and have already been satisfied. Thanks for thinking of the golfer who likes to travel lightly.
