Use the  Guru's shot plan feature to dynamically move where you want your next shot to land, see the distance to that point and the distance left to the green. Capable of previewing courses before you play them. First AerVu map is free and others are $9.50 a piece.

Well made device. Note that the GURU 4 should not be considered waterproof as there are numrous unprotected openings (usb, speaker, sd card slot). The screen is very high resolutin but tends to be hard to read in direct sunlight. The scoring and statistic features are also easy to use but unlike exercising the features in the comfort of an airconditioned house, the touch screen seemed to less sensitive on the course, causing multiple attempts to get it to register putts or score changes. This became a little frustrating when trying to update information in bright sunlight where screen visibility is a problem. After playing a round, came home and touch screen worked great with little problem. Possibly a temperature issue. Will try a touch screen pen on next round to see if this helps. I have also placed a movie on SD card and it plays a movie with good clarity. Looking forward to getting additional applications such as road navigation.
