I received this unit for my birthday. I have played 3 rounds on the same battery charge. It still shows 3/4 charge left. The color screen is very easy to see. The course layout mode is awsome. The distances are very accurate. I only found one hole that had distances that were off. It showed the distance to the front of the green longer than the back of the green. It was very easy to correct the distances. I like the ability to add reference points to the holes. Also I like the score card, shot tracker and the distance calculator. Another big plus is "NO ANNUAL FEE". My friend has a skycaddie and has to pay $50.00 per year fee. After seeing my Sonocaddie he is looking into buying one also. I highly recomend this unit. It takes the guess work out of the game.

Great product. I researched for a golf GPS for months before finally deciding on the Sonocaddie V300. Intheholegolf.com had the best price I could find anywhere so the decision to buy here was easy.
The product itself is fantastic. Very easy to set up and use. I've used it a half-dozen times already and have had no problems with it. The color screen is clear and you can see it easily, even in bright sun. I absolutley recommend this product to anybody who wants to improve their game.

I purchased this item about a month ago, and I haven't been disappointed yet. www.intheholegolf.com provided an excellent price on the unit, and shipped it on-time as expected.
When I received the V300, I immediately scheduled a tee-time with a local course that has a GPS unit on the course. I compared, and they were exactly the same yardage. The extra features for stat tracking, course tracking, etc... are nice, but I haven't used them as much as I thought I would.

You won't be disappointed with this unit.

I ordered this GPS unit a couple of months ago. I am very pleased with it. It seems quite accurate for distances that are marked. It could use more intermediate markers, although I can add those in the more I play certain courses.

The one thing I'll say on the negative side, which is not specific to this product at all, is that I tend to get hooked on the extras that I think are really cool. For what I actually use it for (distances only), I could have gotten away with buying a more basic one for half the price.

Overall I am very satisfied with the Sonocaddie V300. The graphics are cartoon-like, but they work. Mine appears to be very accurate. It is simple to download and to use, although you have to advance it to each hole played. The battery appears to be capable of lasting a week or so. The worst thing I found was the belt clip. The first time I tied to use it, it fell apart. Plastic junk! I threw it away and set the unit in a cup holder in the cart, or in a cellphone case on my belt. In The Hole Golf was fast, and the best price I found.

This is the second golf GPS unit I have used. The first unit was the Golf Buddy Tour. The Golf Buddy GPS receiver takes 3-5 minutes to lock onto enough GPS satellites before it can find the course you are playing; it takes less than 1 minute for the Sonocaddie. The Golf Buddy has a problem locking onto satellites when I am wearing it, even after wearing it powered for 10 minutes. I have to take the unit off my belt and clip it on the golf bag or hold it in my hand until I get the unit to lock on enough satellites to find the course where I am playing. Also, during play there are times when the unit only receives 3-5 satellites. When that happens I don’t get the correct yardage to the green. The Sonocaddie locked onto more than 6 Satellites in my house quickly and more than 9 satellites outside in less than a minute.
I emailed Sonocaddie to have a course added to the course data base and the Sonocaddie Staff was very helpful, courteous and quick to respond to my request. They had all the course features available for download in three weeks.
The screen is easy to see in bright sunlight. The overall view of the hole you are playing from tee to green is much better than a screen view of only the hazards and the green that the Golf Buddy offers.
The unit is easy to use with one hand. The Scorecard and Analysis features are great. I have played three rounds on the same charge and the battery indicator still shows 2/3 remaining.
The software supplied is easy to load and there were no problems using the online features, signing up and downloading courses.
You have to purchase a onetime membership for $30 (Birdie) or $50 (Eagle). The Eagle membership is for free unlimited worldwide course downloads. You can store the downloaded courses to My Folder in the Sonocaddie window on your computer.
I like having the Sonocaddie when I play. I don’t have to hunt for yardage markers or guess which club to use anymore. I recommend the Sonocaddie V300 Golf GPS as the unit to have with you to make the game easier and more fun.

The Sonocaddie is the best golf related purchase I have ever made. I researched GPS units for several weeks before I decided on the Sonocaddie and purchased it several months ago. I love the feature that actually show the hole layout, not just distances to the hazards. I play with a Saturday group of 20 golfers and we go to a different golf course each week, making this layout feature along with always knowing front middle and back of green measurements invaluable. So far each course that we have played has been accurately mapped by Sonocaddy with the exception of one. I contacted Sonocaddie by email and requested that they map this course and they responded within 24 hours and said they would have it mapped within 2 weeks. As for IN The Hole Golf, their pricing was excellent and the product was shipped promtly and arrived on time.

Since none of my home courses have been mapped yet, I have done it myself. The mapping ability of the unit makes this a fairly straightforward task. After one round of mapping, I found it to be highly accurate in its distances on all later rounds greatly improving my club selection. Since most of my time is spent in the rough far from the yardage markers, I really appriceate this product.

The Sonocaddie was a great Birthday gift from my wife!
It is accurate and easy to use. I found a mount for a cart cup holder from another golf GPS manufacturer that fits the Sonocaddie as well.
There are two features that I have seen with other golf GPS systems that I would like to see incorporated in the Sonocaddie product. Actual pin location readings which are available on courses with GPS and layup distances for fairway locations shown on the screen. I like to play new courses and these features would help on the first round at a new club. I have entered additional reference points during a round but if there was a locator you could move to a target area on the screen and get a distance it would be helpful. Some I have seen have layup points built in.

The Sonocaddie V300 is one of the best investments I have made in my golf game. I've looked at other golf gps models and chose the Sonocaddie V300 because of the features - easy to use, editable course features, nice easy to read screen to name a few. I'm hitting more greens since it takes the guesswork out by telling you the yardage and the club options to hit the green since there's no yardage markers in the rough or hazards - it also speeds up play, no more looking or guessing your yardage.

I compared the Sonocaddie with the golf cart gps systems and found the V300 to be either right on or just two to three yards different - no problem for us amateur golfers - me anyways. I have been very pleased with this purchase and I highly recommend buying the Sonocaddie V300 GPS. I bought mine from In the Hole Golf - they have one of the best prices and customer service too!

This was my first purchase with InTheHoleGolf.com. Excellent service and very competitive pricing. In regards to service Sonocaddie Staff are knowledgable, courteous and quick to respond to each and every inquiry. The Sonocaddie V300 GPS is not my first GPS unit. I am moving over from Skycaddie. Both have their pluses and minuses but the Sonocaddie V300 by far has the most features. Full overhead views of the courses I have played have been right on, distances are no more off than the Skycaddie, if in fact the course markers are correct and in many cases "not." The unit is easy to handle, easy to use with one hand, with or w/o glove. The Scorecard feature is beyond excellent. The ability to add hazards or personal distance measurements is an exceptional feature. I have played four rounds on the same charge and still show 2/3 on the battery indicator, excellent; re-charged Skycaddie after two rounds. View screen is very clear and visible in direct sunlight and I can leave my reading glasses in the bag. No difficulties using the online features, signing up, downloading or communicating with staff. They are already adding the features for two of the courses I play that were not on their list. When I first went to a GPS unit it was to eliminate the pacing and hunting for distance, mission accomplished. My car GPS didn't make me a better driver and my Golf GPS hasn't made me a better golfer, but the game is much more relaxing not having to hunt and peck for markers, guessing at a hole layout on a new or unfamiliar course or make a guess as to the distance to a hazard or the distance to clear the hazard. I recommend adding GPS to your game. I highly recommend Sonocaddie V300 Golf GPS as the unit to have on your bag. I recommend the Eagle Member feature offered by Sonocaddie. Choices are many now, many more than when I first purchased a GPS. Good luck, like clubs it will be a personal preference, but you won't go wrong making Sonocaddie your personal choice for Golf GPS.

The Sonocaddie V300 is a very handy tool that has reduced my score by about 3-5 strokes by giving me an accurate distance and view of the greens. More importantly, where there were issues with the course having changed the par values or changing the hole designs, customer service at Sonocaddie was responsive and quick to resolve the issues. The Sonocaddie V300 has been reliable and easy to use. It provides everything that a serious golfer will ever need to get the best out of their game. There are no courses that can't be easily loaded onto the handheld system. Great color, great graphics and very simple to use.

After some confusion regarding membership (which In-the-Hole Golf helped clear up - thank you), I was able to load the software and download my favorite courses in less than 30 minutes. I have only used the device twice but definitely favor it over the Skycaddie. I have used shot tracking and the scorecard function. Screen is sufficiently large and sufficiently bright even on very sunny days. The users manual has some grammatical errors and the cover it comes with is rather cheap for a $400 device, but these are minor complaints. I recommend it for ease of use, functionality, and customer support. Thanks ITH Golf!

The Sonocaddie V300 golf gps has become the most important addition to my bag this year. I no longer have to guess about distance and my shots are realizing the benefit as I am getting more consistent and confident in my shot selection. I am addicted to the the scorecard, analysis, and shot tracking features where you can review each shot of your round using the course color layout. Sonocaddie is the total package not just a GPS unit. I prefer to walk the course and the sonocaddie makes my round so much more enjoyable.
